Interior Overview of the Cottage

The interior of the cottage reflects the charm of a 1903 New England home, offering cozy, functional spaces with thoughtful updates while still retaining its historic character. The layout is traditional for the era, with the full bathroom located on the first floor and two bedrooms upstairs, accessed by fairly steep original stairs. Handrails and good lighting are provided for safety and comfort.

Living Room

A warm, comfortable gathering space with classic New England charm. The room offers soft seating, a TV for relaxing nights in, and enough space to unwind after exploring town. Natural light and period details give it a welcoming, home‑like feel.

Dining Room

A dedicated dining area sits just off the kitchen, making it easy for guests to enjoy meals together. The space is bright, simple, and functional—perfect for family dinners, game nights, or remote work.

Kitchen

A fully equipped kitchen with everything needed for everyday cooking. Guests will find modern appliances, cookware, dishes, and essentials, all arranged in a clean, efficient layout. It’s easy to prepare meals or snacks during longer stays.

Downstairs Bathroom

Because the home was built in 1903, the full bathroom is located on the first floor, typical of homes from this period. It’s clean, updated, and functional, with a shower/tub combo and all the essentials for guest comfort.

Upstairs Bedrooms

The two bedrooms are located on the second floor, offering privacy and a quiet place to rest. Each room has comfortable bedding, storage, and a cozy, peaceful atmosphere.

Important note: The stairs leading to the bedrooms are fairly steep, consistent with early‑1900s construction. Handrails and proper lighting are installed to ensure safe access.

Private Back Deck

A standout feature of the home, the private back deck provides a quiet outdoor space for morning coffee, reading, or unwinding in the fresh air. It’s a peaceful extension of the living space and a great spot to relax.

Our guests are invited to utilize the entire home and private back deck.

The locked doors inside are for your safety. Access to the basement is not allowed, the front closet is for cleaning supplies for our cleaning service between rentals and is not accesible. There are closets for both bedrooms with hangars and automatic lighting when doors are opened. There is a door in the second bedroom that remains locked and is storage for our cleaning crew as well.
